Jakarta’s new alternative contenders Mothern will release their debut single, “Survivor” within the next few days off of their upcoming debut EP, Afterdark. The song is the trio’s effort to cement themselves in the ever-growing local scene while blending genres from rock, electronic, synth-wave peppered with hints of a subtle yet vocal pop sensibilities.
“Survivor” is a song that represents a certain connective tissue from one person to another which also involves forced ideals and values, says guitarist / synth player, Rastafarian.
“It’s useless when you wage war against one another, because the only fight you need to fight war is within ourselves.” he continued.
The single and the EP was produced, mixed and mastered by Wisnu Ikhsantama Wicaksana who had seen growing success in producing other up and coming locals such as .Feast and Glaskaca.
“Survivor” will be available very soon on streaming services and digital retailers such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and many elses,
making this single a hopeful introduction to the trio’s musical endeavours.
